About the event

📚 Brains & Books | October

This month, we’re reading Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain.

Our culture often celebrates the people who speak first, network easily, command a room, and aren't afraid to take center stage. But does being the loudest voice necessarily make someone the strongest leader?

Quiet challenges us to look differently at introversion, extroversion, and the qualities we tend to associate with leadership. We’ll talk about the strengths quieter personalities bring to teams, how our environments can favor certain communication styles, and what leaders can do to make sure every voice has an opportunity to contribute.
